Warmer & Quieter...........

We've had a busy week! Monday, Greg & Jason were insulating, 3 AC guys were finishing their work, an audio guy did a walk through, 3 plumbers were doing something & the plumbing inspector came! Leryl had a hard time being in all those different places at the same time. The inspector approved the plumbing, which includes the radiant heat system. Leryl was pleased! The pictures show Greg & Jason insulating the Man Cave ceiling......Jason hates this part & of course we're all very sympathetic. :) Leryl is working on the garage ceiling. The white box is for Bill.....home base for all the phone, computer, TV, sound wires. And of course........Ladybug. She loves to lie in the snow. Keep checking......it's all coming together!

Come on in.......

The guys hung the front door yesterday & finished siding around it. The door needs some more varnishing but they had to hang it to get the siding up. The lower level of the house is completely sided & part of the upstairs. I'm thinking we should have had a transom above the door.........Oh well! I think they're going to leave the siding & finish the insulation. And yes......we still have snow!!! Thanks for checking in.

A Little of This....A Little of That.....

Today brought the AC guys back. They would have finished but ran out of a certain part so they'll finish up tomorrow!!! All that waiting for what you see in the bottom picture. Greg & Leryl are watching Jason put up siding around the garage doors. The third picture shows siding on the front side of the garage. We really like it & are pleased with how it looks. Like Jason said, "It's starting to look like a real house" & I'm so ready to be done!!! Better rein it in as there's LOTS left to do.....we'll get there!

Let There Be Light......

..........and there WAS!!! Matt came out today & hooked up the power to the house. We have 3 temporary plugs in place & some temporary switches. And the best part is......when Leryl flipped the switch, everything worked & there were no sparks or bangs. Hense the thumbs up picture of him by the panel. So now.....he can work into the wee hours of the morning!!! :) Or maybe not.

Long Time No Blog.....

Not sure anyone is still checking in.....it's definitely been a long time since the last post. But for anyone who is checking in.........we returned from our trip....which was wonderful & then our computer blew up. We're up & running again. Greg & Jason have returned & have all the soffits in....except around the gables. They'll probably start exterior window trim tomorrow. Leryl's electrical work passed inspection yesterday. He's about done putting all the manifolds together for the radiant heat. It hasn't been an easy process for him. It's pretty impressive to look at. The power company is coming out tomorrow to hook us up so that's exciting. I should be posting a bit more regularly as things are moving along again. It's good to be back!!!
