All Taped Up......

Tom, the taper/mudder finished the taping today. He did a nice job & it was fun to watch him. He was a little faster than Leryl was when he did the apartment. He might come tomorrow & put on one coat of mud..........depends on what plans his wife has. :) I still don't have paint colors picked out & we're getting down to the nitty gritty. It'll happen. Mission Accomplished!!!

OK! The sheet rock is all hung! The last picture shows Chad screwing down the final piece. They had a good time on the stilts. The mudder/taper came by today & he'll start Monday. Slowly but surely.....we're getting there. And the best news is.......the snow is really
disappearing! Woo~hoo!!!

More of the Same............

They came back & worked hard today! They're down to the laundry room & the garage. The top picture is standing in the great room looking toward kitchen, entry, den.











This one is dark but it's our bedroom looking out the bay window.













This is the fireplace wall in the great room. Our bedroom is on the other side. I really have to nail down paint colors.......like SOON!!!

Still Rockin'.............

For some reason, the sheet rockers had a short day today. Didn't get much done. Oh well. The top picture shows the entry with the closet under the stairs on the right. The middle picture shows the great room from the eating nook. Sheet rock is stacked in front of the fireplace. The last picture was taken from the top of the stairs looking down. The newel posts are under the protective boxes. Lots to do but it's coming! Now, if the rockers will give us a full day Monday....we should be in good shape. Rock On!!!!!

Two sheet rockers came this morning & they have all the ceilings rocked upstairs. They completed one of the bedrooms & started in the bathroom. They're fun to watch. They used their heads to hold up the rock until they could get it tacked down & then screwed. Now that it's toasty warm in the house.....the flies are appearing. Since Leryl is NOT touching sheet rock.....he was delegated to fly slapping today & Verlin supervised. It's lookin' good......rock on!!!

Toasty Warm.....

The pictures aren't very exciting.....Bill & Bob will like them BUT............
WE HAVE HEAT!!! Leryl & Verlin introduced water into the flex tubes Friday. There were a few leaks where Leryl soldered the copper pipe. The leaks were all on top where he didn't have a good view while soldering. They got everything sealed up & the system is working beautifully. I walked around on the slab in my stocking feet & it was toasty warm. Leryl & Verlin are feeling really good about the whole deal. The sheet rockers are coming in the morning so......stay tuned!
