Rock On.....Part 2

The granite was installed today & we love it! It doesn't show well in the pictures but there's lots of movement in it. We had to get 3 slabs to do the kitchen so we just used the leftover in our bathroom & the powder room. Doug said they used every little bit so the only thing left is what he cut out for the cook top. And that's me priming the trim. I just about have it whipped so I'm feeling pretty good.....of course I'll be even better when the semi gloss is on! Soon!!!

B&B Tile Guys....................

Leryl & Verlin poured the pan for the upstairs shower & then tiled the laundry room. It's kind of a wild space but... I'm likin' it! I think the guys are thinking it's about O Beer Thirty! The garage picture is for Pat. I got it done!!! :) Wish I could say we plan to be in by the end of the month like Ron & Peg but......I can't. It'll happen.....I promise. Thanks for checking. Have a good rest of the weekend.

Shower Wall......

We have some extra help this holiday weekend. Verlin came back Tuesday & Jim & Pat came from Scappoose Thursday. The boys have been working on the glass block shower wall. They almost finished today but changed the layout so they need more blocks. Pat & I worked on priming some of the window trim. Little bit by little bit....................Enjoy your weekend everyone!!! :)

They're In.....................

A big day for us! The cabinets were installed today. The crew arrived at 7:20 & left at 2:30. They worked hard. The top two pictures are the kitchen & powder room vanity, the middle pictures are the den & upstairs vanity & the last picture is our bathroom vanity. I couldn't get a good shot of the laundry room. We used cherry with a natural stain & Shaker style doors. It was fun to have so much get done & all we had to do was watch! Have a good evening! :)

This & That.....

Rodney finished the railing at the bottom of the stairs yesterday along with laying all the treads. He had to do some extra work & figuring out with the bottom railing. His solution looks great.....better than what was planned originally! He added trim to the front door today. I would have taken a picture of that but Leryl took the door off to put more stain on & it just doesn't do the trim justice without the door. After completing the door trim, Rod moved on to baseboards. The picture shows him working in our bedroom. Leryl has been busy putting in all the plugs, switches & fans. Nothing has sparked or blown up on him so that's a good thing. I was instructed to do "no sweeping, painting or lumber store runs" by Jennifer so.......I didn't! I took the day off & thoroughly enjoyed it. I think I'll be back on door staining duty in the morning. Oh well! Hope everyone had a good weekend. Thanks for checking in.

We Have a Railing..............

A railing system is much more complicated to build than I ever imagined! Trim Man will finish the upstairs today & start working on the bottom tomorrow. Rod is winding down his time with us. It's been wonderful to have him here & we're SO pleased with his work. If any of you know anyone in the Klamath Falls area that needs a good finish carpenter.......have them call Rod Pfeiffer Construction 541~891~2050!!!

Rodney has moved from doing trim on the windows & doors to working on the stairway. The skirts are in place going up the stairs, the landing is laid & he worked really hard on the balcony edge around the newel posts. He's so particular & precise. It's fun to watch him work. Leryl spent part of the day putting in plugs. The biggest progress was made in the Man Cave.......the floor is down!!! We put a laminate up there & it was a pretty easy installation. And me.......I did more sanding on the trim work I spackeled & of course the never ending sweeping & vacuuming. Thanks for checking! Have a great week!
