Dirt, dirt & more dirt!!!

Wow!
We have a whole bunch of fine,
pulverized dirt around here! Ladybug & Megan are little pigs!!!
The top left picture shows the blueboard foundation insulation & Mike shoveling dirt. Notice Megan....she likes to be where Mike is. The top middle picture is Mike in the trench across the driveway that is carrying the utility conduit. The top right shows Mike compacting the dirt with Tony on the track hoe grading. The bottom left shows most of the dirt graded and the last picture is Megan.....she's a tired girl! That's about it for now. I think Monday will be another busy day so I'll post again then. Thanks for checking on our progress. And Maryal.....tell Tim my job title for the time being is "Official Blogger". I'll let him know when that changes.

I'm Back!!!

Ok....here I am again! I've been in Oregon & Washington the past week & returned this evening. I had a wonderful time & now I'm ready to get back to my job....being the official blogger. Leryl said he tried to post but......he couldn't make it work! That's a first....me doing something with the computer that he can't do! Anyway, here are pictures from Friday, July 25th. I'll catch up the progress from the past week tomorrow.

Top left is the pumper truck that came to pour the walls. Leryl said it was a lot easier & faster than a regular truck. Top middle shows "the guys" pouring the walls & top right shows the completed walls. The bottom right picture is the pad for the shooting bench. The back post is for the "swivel chair". The guys helped Leryl do the pad & they were full of all kinds of suggestions......you need a fridge over here, how about a cover & a wind break. Anyone that needs to sight in a rifle.....come on over. He's pretty proud of this whole deal. All for now....check again tomorrow!!!

Lots of Form Work!

Leryl is standing where the pad for his shooting bench will be. I think he was more excited about the pour for the footings for the bench than he was for the footings for the house! The next three pictures show the forms for the walls of the foundation. Gary & Jamie are hard workers. Gary was grumbling about the bay windows.....so I made chocolate chip cookies to pacify him. The crew liked that! The last picture is Ladybug with her new friend, Seamus. They're after a chipmunk! We're hoping to pour the walls Friday. Just so glad that something is going on!!!
