More & More Homey...Part 3.....

OK.....I posted 3 times tonight so after you check out this one, go back 2 more.
Had to take Ladybug's picture. She loves to lie in front of the doors. Doors need to be stained but they might not get done until next summer. They have to come off & be stained horizontally. A little chilly for that now.....although today would have been perfect.....72 or so. Next is the dining room table on the area rug that came this week. Had to show the "coffee bar" in the pantry. Leryl built a cabinet around the wine fridge & put a formica top on it. We have the coffee pot & toaster on it & it's working well. Next shot is the kitchen. I'm really liking it & haven't even moved anything from when Jennifer & Andrea helped me place it. Good job, girls!!! The last picture is the great room. We're going to remat the owl picture above the fireplace to make it show up better. Our next purchase will be a couple of tables for the great room & some more fake plants for above the shelves. We're plugging away & enjoying ourselves. Leryl's going to get busy next on the bar for the Man Cave so that room can become functional. Not sure anyone is checking this site any longer but I'll continue to post until we get the Man Cave done. So......thanks for looking in. Hope you're getting the idea. I must say.....I think the rooms look better in person than in the pictures.

More & More Homey....Part 2.....

The first 3 pictures are in the den. Leryl hung his deer head & pine martin & would like to put the otter in here. It's a comfy space & we're both enjoying it. The next picture is the great room. Leryl is kicked back in his recliner, which we're debating about putting upstairs but he's not sure he can part with it. We'll see. The couch & area rugs arrived this week. The last picture is the landing going upstairs. We're liking fake plants!!!

More & More Homey.....

We're baacckk! Sorry it has taken so long to get back to the blog. Our house is really beginning to feel like a home. We still have lots of decorating to get done but thought I'd post some of the rooms. The first 2 are the "Brown Bedroom". Thought about calling it the "Duck Room" because of the 2 prints we hung in there but the Beaver in me just couldn't do it. :) The next picture is the "Teacher Room" then the upstairs bathroom & the last one is our bathroom. We're having fun with the whole thing & we just plan to plug away at stuff.

A Hodge Podge.....

We're starting to hang stuff. The antelope made it to the entry with the mirror & bench. I wanted him in the great room but we just couldn't find the right spot. A couple of pictures are on the walls leading to the bedroom. Not very interesting at this point but we'll keep working at it. Leryl & Jason finished painting the exterior yesterday with the aide of the basket lift. Sure makes things easier. And the last two pictures are of the pantry. I love it!!! Leryl needs to do one more wall but it's totally functional as is. We're settling in.....little bit by little bit. Thanks for checking in.

B&B Installers...................

Verlin is back & he & Leryl installed the great room, bedroom & bathroom blinds today. They look nice & they help deaden some of the sound. However, I really don't understand why they have to cost so much! Not sure what's on tomorrow's agenda. We need to finish the outside painting so that might be a good place to start. I'm sure we'll think of something. Thanks for hanging with us!

Our First Company.............

The kids arrived on Sunday & they surprised Leryl with a neon sign for the Man Cave. It's very cool & I think it will be an incentive for him to get things done up there. Ryan, Andrea & Jennifer gave us a bad time about the two chairs in the great room for 5 people. Good thing we had the bar stools. As you can see, it's pretty bare but it will get better. Leryl & Jennifer are sitting in the den & it's a real mess as Leryl has to drill through the desk top to run all the computer cables down. He needs the gramet before he can drill. I'll post more pictures as we get rooms settled. We're loving it so far. Off to soak in my tub. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...................................

Company Ready.....Almost..........

The beds are made & the upstairs bathroom is fully functioning so.....I guess we're ready for company. At least ready to have Jennifer, Ryan & Andrea next Sunday. No headboards, pictures on the wall, night stands etc. but....in good time it will all happen. Chris worked all day today to finish the floor. I just left he & Leryl working on the transition between the wood floor & the tile floor in the laundry. He did an amazing job & we love the floor! We're SO glad he was able to come from Seattle to do the install. Jason came & helped Leryl move our monster matress so......I think we're sleeping in the house tonight!! We even have a cold bottle of champagne to crack open. It truly is coming to an end. Woo~hoo!!! Of course, we have about 2 years of outside work to do. Oh well!
